PPT x ADMAF

at Kensington Palace

For almost three decades, the Peace and Prosperity Trust has excelled in supporting and mentoring young artists from the Levant area to become leaders of peace through the fusion of culture and music.
In 2025, the Trust opened up its efforts to encompass working with the Arab Gulf through an exciting collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF).
ADMAF is a UAE-based cultural leader that promotes creativity and the arts through cultural programs, education, and community initiatives. With such similar overlapping values and goals, PPT partnered with ADMAF to bring the Abu Dhabi Festival to London for it’s first time ever.

Residency

As part of the Abu Dhabi Festival in London, the two Emirati Opera Singers Fatima Alhashmi and Ahmed Al Hosani completed an intensive three-week operatic residency in London, spearheaded by The Peace and Prosperity Trust.

This exceptional program was designed to challenge and refine the artists’ skills under the guidance of world-class mentors and teachers helping them in their journey to blend their unique styles with the techniques of western music. For 21 days, the singers were fully immersed in a demanding schedule of masterclasses and private lessons.

The curriculum was multifaceted, ensuring a holistic development of their craft. Key areas of focus included:

  • Intensive Vocal Techniques

  • Language & Interpretation

  • Repertoire

  • Industry Coaching

The Trust also held a public masterclass with the Maestro Tenor Dennis O’Neill refining repertoire and technique as well as advising the next generation of operatic singers.

This residency is a testament to the Peace and Prosperity Trust’s commitment to nurturing international talent and promoting cross-cultural understanding through the arts. The skills, insights, and connections gained in London will be invaluable as these artists advance their professional careers.

Concert at Kensington Palace

The 3-week residency ended in a showcase concert at the magnificent Kensington Palace. The concert was notably attended by T.R.H the Duke and Dutchess of Gloucester as well as H.E Mrs Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo and our Founder Mr. Rajai Khouri.

Both ADMAF singers demonstrated their progress and refined technique as they sang unique blends of operatic and oriental music with special fusion arrangements by Saty Mookan, even translating a verse from Italian to Arabic with oriental vocal technique.

Joining the Emirati singers were the Trust’s artists, with Soprano Nicola Said and Tenor Bechara Moufarej delivering stunning solos and duets.

The night was also mixed with musical theatre as Dona Atallah and Nadim Naaman took the stage with heartwarming duets and showstopping solos from Broken Wings the Musical, Kiss Me Kate, and Funny Girl.

Finally, the world premiere of Emirati Composer Ihab Darwish’s Ruins of Time, written uniquely for this project, adorned the night with and emotional blend of western and oriental instrumentals. Throughout the concert, the artists were accompanied by the orchestra conducted by our Trustee and Musical Advisor Mr. Toby Purser and featured our Emerging Artist Musician Leyth Elmani on the violin.
